Material

The pool surface material is Lucite (*™) acrylic. Lucite has a high hardness and low porosity. This means
it is resistant to scratching and staining. If the surface is damaged, then it is easily returned to its
original finish by sanding and buffing the affected area - this can be done without removal of the pool
and with standard tools by the hospital's maintenance team, resulting in minimal loss of availability. The
smooth surface and low porosity facilitates thorough cleaning

For permanent clinical installation

The FP3 is a fixed-installation birthing pool, purpose-built for long-term use in clinical environments such as hospitals and birth centres. It provides a safe, hygienic and comfortable setting for water births, making it highly suitable for frequent clinical use.

Built for hygiene, comfort and easy maintenance

Designed for durability and ease of maintenance, this birthing tub features an integrated seat, smooth seamless construction without joints or detachable parts, and built-in handles to support the birthing person throughout labour and delivery.

What are the key features of the FP3 birthing pool?

The FP3 birthing tub is designed specifically for clinical settings and offers the following features:

  • Ergonomic shape – Soft contours and integrated seating offer optimal comfort.

How is hygiene ensured?

The FP3 birthing pool has been developed with strict clinical hygiene requirements in mind. This design meets the highest standards for infection prevention in hospitals and birth centres.

How is the FP3 installed?

The FP3 is intended for permanent installation in labour and delivery rooms or dedicated birth suites. Installation is typically carried out by professionals and requires:

  • Structural assessment of floor load-bearing capacity
  • Coordination with facility management and infection prevention teams

We provide technical specifications and guidance for a smooth implementation process.

Who is the FP3 birth pool designed for?

The FP3 is specifically developed for hospitals and midwifery-led birth centres that regularly offer water births. It is the ideal solution for facilities looking for a professional-grade, permanently installed birth pool that ensures comfort, safety, and clinical efficiency.

What are the FP3’s dimensions?

The FP3 birthing tub features a minimum internal depth of 63.5 cm, as recommended by midwives for optimal buoyancy and comfort during a water birth. For full technical drawings and installation requirements, please refer to our specification sheet
